HubSpot ↔ AWS APN Integration Platform
A serverless integration platform connecting HubSpot with AWS APN for bidirectional data flow, built entirely on AWS infrastructure with event-driven workflows and secure configuration management.
Stack
- AWS Lambda
- API Gateway
- Step Functions
- EventBridge
- DynamoDB
- Secrets Manager
- Parameter Store
- HubSpot APIs
- Problem
- Data needed to flow bidirectionally between HubSpot and AWS APN, reliably and securely, without standing up and operating dedicated servers.
- Approach
- Designed serverless workflows for API orchestration, event-driven processing, and data persistence. Used Lambda and API Gateway for the integration surface, Step Functions for orchestration, EventBridge for events, DynamoDB for state, and Secrets Manager / Parameter Store for secure secret and configuration management.
- Outcome
- A scalable, fully serverless integration with no servers to operate and secure, centrally-managed configuration.
Context
The goal was a dependable, bidirectional bridge between HubSpot and AWS APN — one that scaled with demand and didn’t require running and patching servers.
What I built
- A pure-AWS serverless integration between HubSpot and AWS APN.
- Event-driven workflows for API orchestration and processing using Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
- State and persistence in DynamoDB.
- Secure secret and configuration management via Secrets Manager and Parameter Store.
Results
A scalable integration platform with no servers to operate, predictable event-driven behavior, and secrets/configuration handled securely and centrally.
